In 2017 we supported the following charities.

The Friends of St Mary’s Barnes

The Friends of St Mary’s Barnes raise funds for the maintenance of St Mary’s Church, the oldest building in Barnes. Dating back to 1100 the church was rebuilt after a fire in the 1980s and is now used for many community events including The Barnes Charity Ball, Barnes Music Festival, Barnes Charity Bazaar, concerts, lectures and celebrity events.

The Paddock School

Paddock School is a very special school where pupils with learning difficulties and autism have an opportunity to thrive in a nurturing environment where they feel calm, happy and secure. Our teachers have expert knowledge and are committed to ensuring our pupils develop their communication skills and become as independent as they can be. We have some specialist facilities such as a soft play room, a sensory room, food technology room, trampoline areas and a cafe that is open to the public two mornings a week. Pupils also make use of local swimming pools, shops, parks, playgrounds and bicycle parks.

In school pupils are excited to learn through our topic based curriculum, and enjoy a range of enrichment activities such as lunchtime clubs, dance clubs, choirs and our Shakespearean Drama Group.

Children from Barnes can attend from the age of three if we are named on a child’s EHCP, and can remain at Paddock until the age of 19.

Paddock is situated on three sites. We have a small nursery and Early Years unit in Southfields, a Primary School in Putney and a Secondary School in Roehampton. We are currently expanding and opening a further 6 classrooms so that more children can benefit from our outstanding provision.
